how to learn documentum in 21 days

Hello,

I am new to documentum. From my little understanding after browsing these forums, there are lot of buzz words I need to understand. eContent Server, WDK, Docbase, Docbroker, DFC, and a Java Application Server.

Can someone who knows about documentum explain from where to attack this product in order to learn it quickly and effectively.

Hello Mr Gopi,

I suggest you start with the eContent server which has good description regarding the Documentum products & its Architecture.

Then you can proceed with induvidual products/components based on your field of expertise. For your information, DCTM involves Java, JSP code in its Web conmponents like WDK, IC, DFC and VB code in Desktop Client.

I would suggest you to first read the Manuals which comes with the Documentum Edition first as it gives you the complete picture of Documentum.

1>Start with Technical Fundamentals of Documentum 4i which gives you overall picture of complete Documentum 4i products.

2>Learn the Installation Procedure

3>Use the Documentum PDFs which are specific to the products for the learning.

4>Register in http://mylearn.documentum.com where you have online course for all the Documentum products and also u can find recorded events which are very usefull.
