Creating Types

We have CS 6 SP1

Should we use Composer or DAB to build types? Users should to be able to enter a number for the (dm_folder) Folder they create and all the documents (dm_document) created under that folder should inherit the folder number.

For creating types, can anyone has step by step instructions?

Thank you

I don't know about D6, but in D5.3 we are using TBO's for that purposes

You may be able to inherit (set default values) for new objects underneath parent folder using Presets.

Yes, we can use Composer 6.5 with a Documentum 6.0 or 5.3 repository as long as you are not trying to install BPM artifacts or artifacts that leverage new Documentum 6.5 functionality, such as Smart Container (introduced after Documentum 6.0) or Aspects (introduced after Documentum 5.3). Currently, Composer 6.5 SP1 supports Documentum 6.5 SP1, 6.5, 6.0SP1, 6.0, and 5.3 SP6 repositories.

TYpes not showing up in Webtop

We created a new Type (Folder type) and added some attributes. This new type will show up in Webtop.

Then we created another Type(Document type) and it does not show up in Webtop.

Restarted the Repository, Application Server and cleared the cache. Any one why this new type is not showing up in Webtop?
